金門縣后湖村海醮祭典起源金門縣后湖村海醮祭典，起源於民國3年12月3日，村民許侯閃、許嘉灘、許加牛、許加走、許溪江、許加抹、陳壽、陽光脫等九人清晨出海捕魚，原本風平浪靜的大海，午後驟然間風雲變色，波濤洶湧打翻漁船，導致六人溺斃，僅三人游回岸邊。
翌日，村內昭應廟六姓府王府的乩身忽然自動回廟起乩，指示，因歷年在海上亡故的幽魂前來討食，才會接連發生海難，應辦海醮超度供食犒賞海域內的幽魂，才能消災解厄。 因此從民國4年開始，后湖村每逢12年都要擇日聘請道士一連作3天大醮，非但要有全豬、全羊等大禮，更要迎請後浦城隍、和開浯恩主公陳淵，以及靈濟古寺觀世音菩薩坐鎮觀禮，相沿至今已有九十六年歷史。
100年第九次海醮從農曆10月14日，即開始舉行送牒、豎旗定界趾儀式，農曆17日迎請主壇神及恭請水府扶桑大帝坐鎮主壇，農曆22日卯時起鼓至24日一連3天，道士宣經拜讀十回大懺，普渡男女幽魂，同時虔誠的行祭自民國三
